11 Protection Chants, Variations For Various Protection Spells
These are my own protection chants that I came up with for various protection purposes. These can be used for personal usage or they can be altered for use on someone else that needs protection. A name (or more if necessary) can easily be inserted where it says “me” when protecting someone else.
Names should be used whenever possible when doing spells on someone else because when you are specific, it helps the power of the spell to protect the right person. Also, for protecting against someone specific, you will also want to use that person’s name; this will target that individual and protect against him or her.
Anywhere it has in brackets “name the item” (for the Amulet chants), whatever item you are using for your amulet, say the name of the item in that place. Also where there are brackets with options, (ie “wearer”, “bearer”, etc) choose what fits for who or what the amulet is protecting.
Protection Chant #1: For Protection of a Home
Protect this home from all that is dark.
Protect all who dwell here too.
Protect this place where we reside.
Protect with light that is true.
Protection Chant #2: General Purpose (Good For Protecting Children)
Protect with light that is pure.
Protect through day and night.
Protect from harm.
Protect from negative energy.
This shield cannot be broken.
So mote it be.
Protection Chant #3: For Protection of a Car
Protect this car.
Protect her passengers and her drivers.
Let no harm come to this vehicle or anyone in it.
Let this car be shielded from harm.
As I speak these words, they are true forever and always from this moment forth.
Protection Chant #4: Protection Against Intentional Harm
Send back the harm that is put upon me.
Send it back to where it came.
I do not accept harm to me.
Protect me from all that is harmful.
Protect me from negativity, and hatred.
Protect me from injury and illness.
I do not harm others, so others cannot harm me.
As I speak it, so shall it be.
Protection Chant #5: Protection Against Dark Entities And Demons
This shield is my power to protect against evil.
This shield keeps out harm.
This shield does not allow demons or negative entities to pass through it.
This shield is my domain and I alone determine what is allowed to pass.
No dark entities shall pass through this shield.
As I will it, so mote it be.
Protection Chant #6: Protection From Abuse
I fear you no more, you cannot harm me.
Your words and your soul no longer hold me.
I’m free from you now, your power is gone.
The power is mine now, and it is mine alone.
My mind is my own, and forever shall be.
Be gone with you now, so mote it be.
Protection Chant #7: Unseen Protection (Going Invisible, Off the Radar)
Unseen is me.
Protected is me.
I do not show myself to thee.
I hide myself within my shield.
I hide myself in my own protective field.
I am unseen, and I am protected within my own invisibility.
Nothing can harm me, I am unseen.
As I speak these words, so mote it be.
Protection Chant #8: For Charging An Amulet For Protection (Variation #1)
This (name the item) is now a shield.
It is for full protection.
This (name the item) will protect against anyone or anything that tries to bring harm to (the wearer or the location it is placed – ie. Car, Home, Specific Room, etc).
No harm shall come as long as this (name the item) remains.
No one shall be able to remove this (name the item) from its place.
Let this (name the item) remain and protect from this moment on.
Protection Chant #9: For Charging An Amulet For Protection (Variation #2)
I place upon this (name the item) protective power.
Its (wearer, bearer, or keeper) will be protected at all times.
No harm shall pass this (name the item)’s protective shield.
Protective energy has been summoned upon this (name the item).
Heed my words of protection forever more.
Protection Chant #10: For Charging An Amulet For Protection (Variation #3)
I give to you (name the item) the power to protect.
Protect from harm.
Protect from illness.
Protect from injury.
Protect from pain and suffering.
Protect from anything or anyone who wishes ill will upon (the wearer, bearer, keeper, or place).
As I command it, so shall it be.
Protection Chant #11: Charging An Amulet For Protection (Variation #4) With The Full Moon
I call upon the power of the Full Moon’s light.
Heed my call.
Charge this (name the item) with your power so that it may protect (this place, the wearer, etc.)
May the power of the moon forever charge this (name the item).
Thank you oh moon, I am grateful for your energy.
Protect with this (name the item).
Remember, these are only examples. If you don’t feel comfortable with the words I have chosen, feel free to take these protection chants and use them as examples to write your own. These words are not written in stone, nor are they unalterable in any way. Change what you need to make the chant your own.
Whenever you can, you should use your own words for all of your chants whether they are for protection or for anything else. By using your own words, you use what you are more comfortable with and confident with and therefore you give the spell you are doing more power. Always go with what you feel comfortable with whether or not you use your own words.

I would have to say, in your case, the best one to use would be protection against intentional harm, but you can add in with that a line such as “protect from ALL negative energy that will come our way and try to break us up”.

I also too have a very bad entity following my children and myself. It is coming in the form of anonymous cps calls with absolutely false allegations. This has been very challenging for my family and I. We just want to be left alone, as we don’t bother anyone or hurt each other. I don’t know who or why they won’t leave us alone. I feel they just don’t like us, and it is a matter of tearing up our family.

I feel like I have been hexed and it is really interfering with my life. I can’t figure out who put a spell or curse on me but I want to send it back at whoever started it. Maybe if you look into your crystal ball you can see more clearly than me. Maybe I am posessed.
I highly doubt you are possessed. From the sound of it, this is coming from an outside source. I would start with meditation, to give yourself more clarity so that you can see more clearly, and feel more clearly where it might be coming from. I get the feeling, it is rather obvious, but you are blinded to who or what is causing it.

how often would you suggest renewing these spells if the intended use is long term such as over a couple decades?
Renew as often as you feel you need to. The timing would be different for everyone. Just being aware of them, and thinking about strengthening them will renew/strengthen any spell.
Thank you Bernadette I often find myself lacking a useful source of literaturecould you perhaps suggest a good book or two for those wishing to follow a more in depth study of defensive magicks or cleansing and blessing on a large scale?
Although I don’t have any books or literature to suggest, I will say this… Read everything you can. Take in all kinds of information on the subject. Use from that information what suits you, what resonates with you, what feels right, and ignore what doesn’t. Magic is about intent and belief, and how strong your feelings are that go into it is how strong a spell will be. Tools are not necessary, but can be helpful to maintain focus.
Like with choosing a divination tool, go with what feels right to you. Go with what calls to you. This is what I did when I started out. I went to the bookstores and looked over the witchcraft books and picked out what felt right at the time. Now I have these books sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I can’t really “recommend” any of them because they are mostly spellbooks. The only one out of my collection that I would recommend is a book I no longer have, and unfortunately don’t remember the name of. I only remember the cover was a picture of a black cat’s face zoomed in. That particular book was the most informative one I had, and I let my sister borrow it, and it was stolen from her car. It is the one book I would still reference to this day if I had it. If I can ever remember the name of it, or if I can find it for sale somewhere, I will post the information.
Everyone has their own opinions on what is right and what is wrong where any magic is concerned, and many will contradict one another. This is why you have to just take in the information and go with what you feel is right. It took me about 10 years to realize this and really be comfortable with magic, and to not stress out over whether or not I’m “doing it right”. There is no “right” way. The right way is the way that works for each individual. And, the only “wrong” way, is by not believing what you’re doing.
I found the name of the book, it finally just came to me. It’s called Hocus Pocus by Titania Hardie. I really wish I still had this book, and now that I know the name of it again, maybe I’ll find it for myself again. It really is a good reference if I remember correctly.
I am trying to use a protection spell on someone,.. what do i do after the spell is chanted? Burn the paper? Make sure candles are lit? if so, what type of candles? Thanks!
You can burn the paper, or not, depending on what you feel you should do. Trust your gut instincts and do what you feel you should. If you feel that by burning the paper it seals the spell, then do it. Same with the candles. If you feel you should have lit candles, then light candles. Go with whatever candles feel right for the situation. If you’re not sure what color, even when your gut is screaming to you what color to choose, use white. Or, you can go with the favorite color of who you are protecting, and/or, the favorite color, or a color that suits, the person you are protecting from.
Do whatever gives you the deepest, greatest belief in the spell you are casting. Belief is everything.

I have a friend who’s younger then me and her mom and dad are separated she lives with her dad and HATES her mom cause her mom is a B and a lier but anyway I made her a neckless and put a protection spell on it she is like a little sister to me no matter what I always will put her first so I hope this work people told witch craft is evil never get involved but it’s only evil if u make it evil I really hope this works
In order for ANY spell to work, you must believe, and in this case, SHE must believe as well (if she knows it is to protect her, she must believe it will). Witchcraft is only evil if the intent of the person doing the spell is evil. To protect is not evil.

Bernadette Poirier. While searching for protection for my daughter I came across these chants. I am terrified for her, I don’t even recognize her anymore. She is 20 years old and since 19 has been taken by a 40 year old level 3 sex offender who has manipulated her into believing he is the actual victim. He beats her horribly, has broken her jaw and refused her to get medical treatment so she sat for 2 weeks with a broken jaw before he was arrested and she was taken to the trauma hospital where she had 2 titanium plates and her jaw wired shut. So many horrifying things… please direct me to a chant or prayer to send her protection and bring her back to reality of her situation. I’m beyond desperate, we already lost her dad in 2006 to a murder and losing one of the kids is not something I would live through.
The legal system literally protects him. In the meantime she is strung out on meth and comitting felonies under his direction.
Me and my fiancĂ© are Wiccan and lately I have a paranormal experiences. I have been a sensitive for as long as I can remember and the other night I was slapped multiple times and last night I was scratched I brought it up to my fiancĂ© and he opened himself and saw a dark shadow in the corner…he did some experimenting and found out it was a demon so he told me to find charms to protect me hopefully this works thank you so much.
