Manager VS Supervisor

A Manager's speech bubble which says "Either she goes, or I go!"
Manager: Either she goes, or I go. We can’t both work together.
Supervisor: Fire the manager or I’m leaving and not coming back.

Why Can’t We All Just Get Along?

I have to vent, because things like this bother me.

The other day, I got up and went to my Facebook account only to find a couple of messages waiting for me. Contained within those messages were complaints, funnily enough, about each of the people who messaged me.

You see, I run a group on Facebook called Psychics Empaths Mediums Channelers etc., as well as run a Forum which acts as a sister site to the Facebook group, which is Windsor Tarot Psychic Support Forum (which is a subsidiary of my Windsor Tarot reading site/business).

Well, here’s what basically happened, in analogy form…

The General Manager Vs. The Department Supervisor

I am the owner of the store, and I have my general manager, department managers, and supervisors for each department. My general manager, and one of my department supervisors for some reason, keep butting heads and don’t get along at all. They have been forced to work in the same building, and really can’t stand each other.

The department supervisor, at one point requested to quit because of the tension and negativity caused by the tension, and as the owner, I convinced this supervisor to stay, and we’d work something out.

But you see, unfortunately, even by separating the two, even putting them on different shifts, and keeping them in each their own corner of the store far away from each other, the tension still mounted. It finally got to the point where the General Manager wanted to fire the Department Supervisor because of the “negativity”. But, this firing is unjust as I see it as the owner. You can’t just fire someone because you don’t like them. The Department Supervisor also wanted to quit because of the negativity. But again, as owner, I didn’t feel the quitting was necessary.

You see, this particular Supervisor, is one of the best workers I’ve ever employed. (So is the General Manager.) I really don’t want to lose this employee, who does over and above the job description, and helps everyone as much as possible.

The General Manager ended up firing the Supervisor. Naturally, I was upset. But, unfortunately, the business is not going to run smoothly if they are together, so I have to let it be the way it turned out. I offered the Supervisor a position at another location, but because the General Manager was sometimes over there working as well, this Supervisor thought it best to just leave and not work for my store anymore.

I can only have one of these employees working for me, and if I kept the one, the other wouldn’t stay. If I let the other back in, the other quits. I need to keep the most valuable of the two, even though BOTH employees are extremely valuable to my store and the customers. It was a tough decision, and I went through hours of upset over it, but what’s done is done, and I have to just see it for what it is. Everything happens for a reason.

Everything happens for a reason. No matter what.
Everything happens for a reason. No matter what.

I am keeping the door open for that Supervisor to come back, if it shows as an option for that Supervisor in the future. This door will always be open as long as I run the store(s)!

End of analogy.

So there you have what I have to deal with some days, just to keep things running smoothly within the group and forum. This incident, on top of my already large workload of readings, and writing, not to mention typical housework, kids, etc.

I just find it stressful that people can’t just get along when they’re in the same room. That they insist on not being in the same location together, especially when they’re 100s or 1000s of miles apart outside of the internet.

Well, you know what they say…

You can please some of the people some of the time, and all the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can’t please all the people all the time.

It just bothers me is all. Especially because I’m an Empath, and I feel it too, not just see and hear. I feel what both sides are feeling. I shouldn’t let it bother me, I know, but I do, and it does. Again, everything for a reason. Time to move on, I guess.

I just thought I’d share, to get this off my mind, like I do with so many other things. Thanks for reading!
